New York, NY (CNS) - Actress Tea Leoni was honored with her family, the Pantaleonis, and Chip Lyons for their work for UNICEF in a winter wonderland theme in Cipriani 42nd Street.

"My grandmother founder the U.S. fund for UNICEF in the late '40s," the 41-year-old actress explains. "She and my father are being honored, and I'm just skidding along on their coattails. But to be honest, I'm also excited for the chance to dress up without jelly all over me".

Leoni's friends and supporters who attended included Julian Moore and husband Bart Freundlich, Amy Fine Collins, Pamela Fiori, Susan Fales-Hill, Lauren Bush and David Lauren among others.

"We're really good friends with Tea Leoni, and that's why we're here tonight," Moore says.

Host Bryant Gumbel remarks, "The fact that we've managed to fill up this room means we've already raised over two million dollars."

Leoni had stated in an issue of Life magazine that she became a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF partially because her paternal grandmother was the president of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF for 25 years.

She is married to X-Files actor David Duchovny and they celebrated their 10th anniversary last May 6.
